Dr Ford a Profile in Courage

Christine Blasey Ford

I am awed, I am inspired, I am enraged, and I am heartbroken. But I also feel emboldened by this strong, recognizable and honest voice that resonated in a Congressional hearing room.

As a survivor of multiple sexual assaults, Christine Blasey Ford is my hero…to those whose voices have long been silenced , she is my Rosa Parks.

She gets  my vote for true Profiles in Courage.

I have watched the complete hearing Sally. I share your feelings 100%.
History will remember how heroic Christine Blasey Ford was on September 27th, 2018. History will also remember those who have chosen to put their personal political interests first.

    • I am just waking up from yesterdays day of shock and awe….shocked at the display of arrogance and entitlement and rage exhibited by Kavanaugh and some of the GOP senators and in awe of Ford’s dignity honesty and grace under pressure.

I am hoping the American Bar Association will further act upon their request they made this morning. What happened yesterday will resonate for years and years to come. That’s the Ugly part!

  3. There was the quiet dignity of Dr. Ford in the morning, a very credible person. Then there was that appalling display in the afternoon. I do feel bad that the families of both people concerned are suffering abuse by partisan actors, yet I am appalled that there is little chance Kavanaugh will be blocked from a seat on the Supreme Court. A travesty in the making.

  4. I feel like I’ve been put through the ringer! I am exhausted!!! Kavenaugh should be denied due to temperament alone. He didn’t answer the questions asked. Instead, he threw a tantrum!! He went into a rage. He’s being interviewed for a LIFETIME position as a Supreme Court Judge. If a McDonald’s candidate acted like this during an interview, do you think they should get the job?

    • I agree with you wholeheartedly. Sexual assault aside, his temperament and erratic behavior was not at all befitting a Supreme Court Justice, and he was clearly very participant. His lies both big and small should be enough to discount his confirmation, but I am doubtful they will. I too am emotionally spent and physically exhausted, but we must bear up for what may lay ahead…his swearing in!!

I believe B.K. will soon withdraw his nomination. Pressure will come from with the Republican party and D.T.
