    My 1960 childhood exchange was PLateau 5. And yes, we did live on the slight bit of a hill in an otherwise flat Eastern Kansas cow town. Our only phone was in the kitchen for years. Oh, my. Now that I think about it I hope I didn’t go around telling people later that my dad got an extension in the bedroom.

    Extensions, particularly in the master bedroom, became wildly popular in the early 1950’sand 60s’s which might explain the baby boom
