Lady Liberty being struck by lightning is a sign alright. But like the proverbial glass half empty or half full, its symbolism can go either way.
There are those that view this picture taken during a nightmarish storm in NYC last evening as a dark and ominous warning, eerily symbolic of 2020 and the destruction of our democracy.
I prefer to see it through another lens. Despite the severe storm, Lady Liberty survives. Even a bolt of lightning can’t topple her. Not even Donald Trump.
But it is a message. We are in the fight of our lives for American democracy.

I hope your right on this one Sally. I’m starting to worry. Who knows what this moron will do after he looses the election? Worse yet,what if he wins? I am terrified when I meet someone who I thought was normal and then find out they support trump. Wish I could just take a long vacation to some secluded place with no media until this nightmare is over!

I hope you are right on this one Sally. Who knows what evil this moron can do when he looses the election? Worse yet,what if he wins re-election. Every time I run into someone who I used to think was smart and then find out they are trump supporters my anxiety grows deeper. I would love to just go on a long vacation to some place off the grid until this is over!
