“I fought the law and the law won!”
Last night we witnessed the rule of law work.
There was nothing sad about it.
Democracy worked before our eyes.
A privileged, white man with unlimited resources was convicted of his crimes judged by a jury of his peers.
Our American process worked.
We the jury have reached a verdict.
GUILTY!
Unanimous.
34 times.
Which one is different than all the rest?
But in the jury of public opinion, our country is deeply divided.
How say you?
Do you see this as deception?
Do you see this as justice?
This is our current civil war.
Rigged
Once again a defiant Donald Trump trotted out his well-worn answer to everything when it didn’t go his way.
It was rigged.
Just like the 2020 election, the trial was rigged.
The system is rigged.
Hell, the whole damn country is rigged.
His outraged followers immediately took to social media echoing the disgrace and injustice of this politically motivated Biden witch hunt. They are convinced the real verdict will be on November 5th, when their leader assumes his rightful place as President of the United States
Let’s be very clear.
Donald Trump is not running against Democrats.
He is running against the democratic system.
The stakes have never been higher.
Or scarier.

We rejoiced with you here in Canada, and then I heard his website crashed because so many people were trying to donate. I was aghast. I’m almost equally aghast that Robert Kennedy agrees with the half-witted mob and has publicly said that he thinks the court was biased. I do not envy your geography right now, Sally. But I don’t think he’ll win the election.

I read that too about his website crashing from the rush of donations! We are truly living in 2 different Americas. On Thursday when I watched the verdict unfold live ( which was spectacular TV) I switched from MSNBC to Fox to see how the news was presented and the contrast was startling. The Republicans are rallying around him in an appalling way.
That said, I do not believe Trump will win, he just doesnt have the numbers. Though he continually firs up his base he is not attracting new voters. RFK Jr is a continual disappointment.

I fear that the Kennedy name will sway dems away from Biden and that vote split will be enough to elect the idiot. We watch in horror and stand in solidarity, Sally.

Kennedy is very concerning. However if I am correct he is not on the ballot in many states so he may not have the power he thinks.But its all a wild card.
