The Back Story

There’s a back story to my recent absence from these pages.

My once upon a time strong spine has after 69 years turned into a bit of a fixer-upper. And last week I got it fixed at N.Y.U. Hospital.

My goals have been pretty simple – to walk up and down a small hill in our park  I’ve named Moe Mountain with its namesake Moe. If I can just rewind back 9 months ago when I could run with the same playful abandonment Moe has.

Nurse Moe has been on call as I heal.

The recovery has been slower than I hoped so I am spending more of my time immobile and prone.

This is what happens when my mobility is limited.

Instead of playing with paper dolls and making up stories with my stuffed animals when I would be bored and bedridden as a child, Moe has agreeably stepped into that role to entertain me as I recuperate.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and healthy holiday season!

I’ll be back very soon.

Hope you’ll soon be conquering Moe Mountain with your trusty nurse, Moe. His clinic photo looks very official indeed!
