The deafening roar of military fighter jets were no match for the powerful voices of Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors speaking out at the Capitol on Wednesday.
The President of the United States deployed the military to distract from the brave women speaking against sex trafficker Epstein and his sexual abuse.
Like a petulant child, this tactic failed miserably.
Their brave voices cannot be silence.
America heard you loud and clear.
Sounds of Silence
Trauma can often silence its victims.
It is not always easy to use your voice.
It is not easy to speak out publicly
I know how hard it can be to speak about the unspeakable. I know what it is to be silenced. Not believed, dismissed. As a sexual abuse survivor, I understand how hard it is to vocalize your truth.
I understand how the past is always present for these women. Post-traumatic stress disorder knows no time structure. There often isn’t a past tense. You do not always move on, but you do need to use your voice.
Through their wounds they found their power. And their voice. They obliterated Trump’s lies about the scandal. Mocked Trump’s claim of it being a democratic hoax.
This is no hoax.
They were 14 years old.
They were 16 years old.
Look at your daughter and imagine it happening to her.
How have we as Americans allowed the trafficking and abuse of young girls to go without consequences? We have allowed the lies that have protected predators for way too long.
This isn’t just about protecting Trump, it’s about protecting the system that allowed Epstein to thrive. The CEOs.
The foreign royalty.
The financiers.
The judges.
The politicians.
The enablers. The media figures who knew but didn’t say. The government officials who sat on files and looked the other way.
This is about the rich and powerful who stole from survivors the freedom to live without pain and permanent scars.
This must be about justice for the survivors

Excellent article. I agree 100%.

Powerful words. And so necessary that they should be heard. Don’t let up.

Their words are being heard and hopefully bring the truth of this sordid affair to light and justice will be served.

How have we as Americans allowed the trafficking and abuse of young girls to go without consequences? This is still the question to ask … one might hope their voices will be heard and that young girls today will not be victimized.

It is unconscionable that it has allowed to go without any accountability
