The Trump administration has begun demolishing portions of the East Wing of the White House to build Trump’s $250 million ballroom despite his promises it would not “interfere” or destroy existing architecture.
Oops.
Seeing the White House trashed as a vanity project is sickening.
I feel as gutted as the East Wing.
I guess Donald never read the fine print of the lease – the White House is The People’s House.
As a renter, I just wonder what my landlord might think if I casually emailed her photos of my living room covered with plumes of drywall dust in the air, as a demolition crew knocked down a wall because I felt like extending the space of this landmark 1870 house?
Something tells me, I wouldn’t be living here for too long.
Donald is destroying the country and history in a single bound even as he digs in.

Every Republican ever would be appalled. Let’s hope quite a few are today. The generous donors aren’t ponying up out of love of Trump or love of country.
