For some of us, the idea of a harmonious family Thanksgiving dinner can be as much of a fable as the original one with the Pilgrims and Indians.
This time of year, we are historically inundated with Norman Rockwell-esque happy families celebrating together in good-natured cheer. For those whose Thanksgiving dinner is served up with equal amounts of festering hurts along with their pumpkin pie, I offer comfort, love, and a peace pipe.
For those who have no family with which to share the holiday and are alone, I hold you in my thoughts.
Though we may fall short of the romanticized vision of Thanksgiving feast, where conflict, burned Brussel sprouts, and undercooked turkey never exist, my wish for all of you is to have a perfectly wonderful Thanksgiving, no matter how imperfect it may be.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am grateful to each and every one of you.

Happy Thanksgiving, Sally, and thank you for all the wonderful posts!
