A Mothers Day for All

Mother’s Day is a complicated day for so many of us.

For those like me who no longer have a living mother yet live with their spirit and love every day it can be a difficult day of longing, deeply missing their presence.

Equally difficult are those whose mothers were sadly never cut out to be mothers and could never give their children what they needed, making it a different day of longing, and a different experience of loss.

My heart is with all whose own hearts might be hurting on Mother’s Day.

These are such lovely sentiments. We have read over the years how much you loved and miss your mom. Her warmth will fill the air you breathe and her sweetness will touch your heart today. And every day.

Thank you. I know how fortunate are I was to have had such a devoted and loving mother. I also know not everyone does.
That said I’ve already posted 4 separate posts on FB about my mother.

DearSally, I know you must miss your Mom so much but like me we have many fond memories of a wonderful, perfect, or close to perfect Mother. I am celebrating that blessing today plus a grateful son, daughter in law and Grandsons. I know you have many good memories of your dear Mother. It is a true blessing. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Sending lots of love, Aunt Lois

Thank you for your warm and loving thoughts, Aunt Lois. I know we are both fortunate to have had great relationships with our mothers. It really is a blessing and of course makes us miss them that much more.
