Looks like liddle’ Donnie got an early Christmas present- a gen-u-ine Playskool “I’m Still President Pretend Desk Playset” complete with an authentic-looking presidential seal. Provides hours of activities and fun for any small tyke.
If ever a picture is worth a thousand words-or a million tweets- our juvenile president addressed the nation on Thanksgiving seated at a small wooden desk designed for a child. Naturally, he threw a temper tantrum, snapping at reporters and babbling on about bogus electoral fraud.
What could be more symbolic of our infantile president? And now he has a shiny new toy- a miniature desk to match his minuscule mind.
Beep! Beep!
Of course, Donnie still spends hours playing with last year’s toys like his “sit and ride for small fry” collection of trucks and a shiny, red firetruck that goes clang! clang! just like the real one!
Developmentally Challenged
It’s hard to believe that little Donnie is going to turn four soon. Where did all those years go? Was it only yesterday that we brought him home in diapers, chuckling when he boasted about the size of his inauguration crowd, and wouldn’t you know it, the little dickens is still bragging about his packed rallies.
For four years, we have watched our crybaby grow into a husky toddler who still seems stuck in the terrible twos.
By this age, Donnie should have reached certain developmental milestones.
According to the CDC, there are important achievements for a 4-year-old’s growth. How our child plays, learns, speaks, and moves offer clues about our child’s development.
By 4 years old there are some exciting milestones our Donnie should have reached.
“By four he can handle a pencil and crayon.” Donnie has hit the mark on this one. We’ve seen him skillfully use a sharpie many times.
“The four years old is more creative with make-believe play.” Long into make-believe, our bogus billionaire, spray-tanned, president has precociously mastered this skill long before he turned 4.
“By 4 he can pour, cut food with supervision, and manage his own feeding and drinking.” We’ve all seen Donnie drink out of a glass just like a big boy.
Arrested Development
Unfortunately, Donnie is quite sub-par in 2 important developments.
A Four-year-old Should :
“Understand the idea of counting.” Since Donnie still insists he received a substantially higher number of votes in the presidential election, no further explanation is required here.
“Cooperates with other children.” Little Don does not play well with others. His alienation of our allies, along with those who don’t agree with him, shows poor people skills.
We all recognize that Donnie has problems trusting people outside his family. According to the CDC this is a red flag for developmental problems in a 4-year-old.
The CDC encourages a parent to: “Act early by talking to your doctor if your child: Ignores other children or doesn’t respond to people outside the family.
If only the doctor had been called in earlier. Instead of Jared.
I love all your blogs, Sally! Today’s is perfect!

I can only imagine the little tyrant he would be!

What is sad Sally is that this little boy will always be one.
Which is sadder is that so many “adults” in the room were and are still complicit.
This is unforgettable.
More people will die until Inauguration Day.
The saddest part?
On that day Sally, he will be announcing he will be running for 2024 taunting how great he was with the vaccine. And people will cheer him.
I don’t see this nightmare going away.

I agree with you on every point. The “adults” who have allowed this tyrant toddler to get away with his inexcusable behavior are as equally reprehensible as he is. Maybe worse as some should know better. Sadly I agree this is not going away and He will make sure of that. His outrageous decision ( if he follows through with it) to hold a rally on Inauguration Day is beyond the pale, and he is only promoting more division in the country even as Biden is trying to pull us together. The only hope is that he will be indicted in NY and made to pay for some of his crimes.

Oh I forgot that scenario Sally…
Announcing it at a rallye in North Dakota with the governor. Great idea! He will get so much media coverage… 10 times more than on Inauguration Day.
I can see him now… with a mask on. He will then take it off like he did when he came back from Walter Reid Hospital, rip his shirt off to show his Superman costume. Of course he will have his MAGA hat on.
I should have been a sitcom writer.

Sadly your scenario is probably exactly what will happen. I was just this morning thinking about that stunt of his whipping off his mask after Walter Reed The sad thing is no comedy writer is needed, the situation writes himself.

Sally, Chris Krebs, the well thought of cybersecurity leader for Homeland Security, proved his worth on “60 Minutes.” Trump had him fired when Krebs said the election was safe and secure after spending 3 1/2 years with folks from all states and other departments. What I found interesting is Krebs rattled names of about six state election leaders and said it is a shame these folks are getting death threats for doing their job. Krebs defined the outgoing president’s claims and that of Giuliani and Powell as “farcical” and “nonsense.”
Georgia did two recounts and the result is the same – Biden still won. Wisconsin just did a recount in its two largest counties – Biden still won. Arizona just certified its election – Biden won. A Trump appointed judge denied Trump’s appeal in PA noting it was frivolous and without evidence. PA has certified Biden won. Right now Trump and his surrogates are 1 for 39 in winning court cases. As I wrote this weekend, Trump has won one more court case than a dead man.
Not only is Trump a petulant toddler, he is dangerous to our democracy. GOP Congressman Denver Riggleman said the GOP sycophants supporting Trump’s wild clams are being “unethical” and he defined the MAGA crowd as “anti-American.” His words. Keith

This is what has to stop… inciting violence.
Excerpt
An attorney for the Trump campaign on Monday issued a call for violence against Chris Krebs, a former cybersecurity official who was unceremoniously ousted from his post by President Donald Trump after he rejected the President’s unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud.
Joe diGenova, an attorney for Trump’s campaign, said during an appearance on “The Howie Carr Show”: “Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot.”
A source familiar with Trump’s election challenges said diGenova is believed to still be helping Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s attorney, in challenging the presidential election results.
