I can’t imagine Capitol Hill without the force of Nancy Pelosi.

For decades, she stood up and stood out and never backed down. She was tough, direct, and fearless, standing up to Donald Trump as few have.

A power house with one of the most consequential legislative careers in history, Nancy was willing to set party differences aside to get the job done. A fierce warrior for her party, but when the stakes were high, she was willing to put the interests of the nation first and take the heat for it.

That’s real leadership. Something we are in desperate need of now.

Though she may be stepping away from Congress, she has a place of honor in my heart.
