Watching a dedicated public servant like Dr Anthony Fauci being raked over the coals by ignorant, repugnant Republicans is repulsive.
And a disgrace.
A rabid Rand Paul is in a frenzy in his attacks.
Emboldened by anti-vaxxers who view science and facts as evil. Covering their eyes in fear, they choose not to see, they choose not to hear, they speak no evil, which to them is science.
Dr Fauci, who helped lead the US response during the COVID-19 epidemic in the dark, delusional days of Donald Trump’s first term, invoked the Fifth Amendment amid plans to testify before the Senate committee and will refrain from answering.
Anthony Fauci is a hero in my house, whose tableau watches over me every time I wash my hands.
I’d like to wash my hands of all these science deniers and revenge-filled Republicans.

Well said, Sally. Legal experts called it a “perjury trap” and the good doctor would have none of it. Rand’s attack was based on cherry-picked “experts” who offer opinions and theories shared by a tiny fraction of the public health community.

Fauci has much to answer for. My downtown (Roselle NJ) is a wreck due to excessive COVID governance in the alleged conformity to Fauci’s findings. Every nail salon, pizzeria, bodega, restaurant, bar, shoe repair store, liquor store, was closed on March 20, 2020 – they were not allowed to re-open until at least 2.5 years later. Naturally enough, the owners of these places left by June 2020. I was ordered home on March 20, 2020 from NY City to work -where my income dropped by 1/3 because I was now “working from home”. That remained true until the end of December 2022. There is empty storefront after empty storefront in my town – we are simply not an affluent town – profits had barely recovered from the recession by 2019/2020 and then the government ordered all closed for years. Every driver of every car driven out of New Jersey was required to quarantine himself for 14 days when he returned. I went on Election Day in 2020 to vote – and found the polling station empty – the response from the few workers there was “You’d all die from COVID, of course you have to vote by mail!” I don’t know if they counted my vote because it was marked “PROVISIONAL”. Police drove past my home to demand why in weeding the flowers, I wasn’t wearing a mask and ordering me inside to get one. Fauci has much to answer for.

Fauci has been a key figure in poisoning the USA’s people for decades. This includes the homosexuals deluded into taking AZT, a nasty toxic drug. That is the man you worship.
