Winning The Undecided Vote
As we enter the last stretch of the campaign the push for the undecided vote grows stronger.
The neck and neck 2012 election is going to come down to the elusive undecided voter, the great prize of the US Electoral politics. To capture their attention, each candidate will be ratcheting up their efforts to court and win over this elusive group of voters.
Knowing that the candidates personalities play a big part in voters choice, I continue in my efforts to help strengthen each candidates appeal. The following are more helpful hints from mid-century schoolbooks that were chock full of advise on developing desirable personality traits and keeping mentally fit.
Winning Personality – Winning Votes
If you want to make a good impression on the people you meet, you will need to develop desirable personality traits, such as those listed at the top of the page. If you want to be liked by others you will need to think about others and their happiness.
Try to think of things to do and say that will please the other person. Of course you must be sincere. Falseness and flattery are signs of selfish immature personality and repel rather than attract friends.
It is important to be well liked and make a good impression.
We all want others to like us. We all want to be popular and to feel we are part of a group. We all want and need friends.
Points to remember
In order to be well liked and develop an attractive personality you will need to develop certain desirable qualities or personality traits such as cheerfulness and friendliness.
Keeping Mentally Fit
Your personality and your mental health are reflected in the way in which you control as well as express your emotions. A person with a good mental health has learned to do both. He is not dominated by fear, anger, love jealousy or worries.
To Get Along You Have to Go Along.
A person who is mentally fit is well adjusted. This means he gets along well with himself and he gets along well with others.
A mentally fit person is cheerful. He has a good sense of humor. He does not think of himself as the center of everything. He is sympathetic to other people and has a friendly attitude towards them.
