Christmas catalogs have long been a cherished staple in the American home.
Just like today, the mid-century housewife flipped through the pages of her favorite catalogue and enjoyed the ease of shopping the telephone way with a whole department store at her fingertips.
Smart, practical gifts. A Brownie for Jr, a Beretta for Dad.
Ordering that 12 gauge shot-gun was as easy and painless as ordering a pair of roller skates or a cuddly plush stuffed animal for your youngster. 10% down, free shipping, no waiting, no fuss no muss.
Guns as gay as Xmas itself as low as $4 a month.
A sampling from mid-century catalogs from Sears Roebuck, Montgomery Ward and Alden’s.
Christmas still remains a “gunfest” for many Americans. Last Christmas, even after the tragic Newtown massacre, gun owners happily posted photos of themselves with their new “toys” under the Xmas tree.
Its time to stop the meaningless madness of school shootings and take meaningful action about gun culture in America.
It’s still way too easy to purchase guns.

Guns… the Gift of Holiday Cheer
The murderer of the Newtown children, school staff, and mother had a gift check from the mother he murdered to go buy himself another gun, for Christmas. I barely keep my breakfast down thinking about this madness!

Whereas a gun in the home and knowing how to use it may have saved these two ladies. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2530233/Man-killed-bosss-wife-daughter-got-fired.html Prior to 1968 guns were available mail order in the US. We had much less crime, no school shootings, in fact the rash of that sort of thing only started after the film The Basket Ball Diaries, with the scene with Leonardo DiCaprio shooting up a school, hit the screen. A lot of our social ills can be traced to liberalism and Hollywood.
